THE HISTORY OF TUCASA
The Tanzania Universities and Colleges Adventist Students Association (TUCASA) is an extension of the Seventh Day Adventist Church Youth, Chaplaincy and Public Campus Ministries that focuses on preaching and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Higher Learning Institutions of all levels in Tanzania.
Historically, the association was established in the early 1970s and was initially called, the Tanzania Higher Learning Institutions Seventh Day Adventist Students and Associates Organization (THISDASAO) with the primary aim of spreading the gospel to universities.
However, in the 1990s, the organization changed its name to Tanzania Higher Learning Institutions Seventh Day Adventist Students Organization (THISDASO), in a move to make graduates associate members and no longer default members. Proceeding with the new direction and continuous work of God, in 2013, the Organization again changed its name to the current name.

ESTABLISHMENT OF TUCASA-MWECAU BRANCH
Praise the Lord! TUCASA MWECAU stands for the Tanzania Universities and Colleges Adventist Students Association at Mwenge Catholic University (MWECAU).
Since 2005, the TUCASA MWECAU Branch began its journey with just two dedicated members.

From these humble beginnings, our association has grown into a vibrant spiritual community committed to nurturing the faith and well-being of students at the Mwenge Catholic University.
We are devoted to upholding Christian values through regular worship services (Every day worships at the campus from Monday to Thursday and Friday Vespers at KARIWA SDA church), Bible studies, and meaningful fellowship. We strive to support one another spiritually, emotionally, and academically as we navigate the unique challenges and opportunities of university life.
Rooted in the Seventh-day Adventist faith, we strive to live out the love of Christ, grow in grace, and prepare ourselves and others for His soon return.

Our Three Core Values
Value 1 Value 2 Value 3
Unity – Integrity

Service – Excellence Faith – Christian Leadership
We believe that the fellowship of believers is a strength in advancing the Gospel. Therefore, we value unity built on honesty, truth, and transparency. We do not create unity through words alone but through a pure and exemplary life that demonstrates integrity toward God and others. Every service we provide, whether preaching, teaching, or social ministry, aims for excellence that brings glory to God. We believe that serving God and humanity should be done with a selfless heart, high standards, and unwavering integrity. We are committed to living by faith in Jesus Christ, guided by His Word and Christian values. Our leadership is not based on human authority but on the example of Jesus Christ, who served with love, humility, and spiritual vision.
